Boulder, CO – One of the top five prettiest college campuses in the United States has devised a new way to showcase that beauty. Scripps College in Claremont, Calif., has teamed with concept3D, Inc., developers of the CampusBird interactive mapping platform, to design a world-class interactive map that brings the college’s beauty to life online.
The Scripps College Campus Map allows viewers to see high-resolution photos that illustrate why The Princeton Review ranked the college #5 on its “Most Beautiful Campus” list for 2015. Viewers can hover over buildings and view pop-up descriptions, take in panoramic views of Mission Revival-inspired architecture, and soak up the lush scenery, all via their Web browser or smart phone. The map is based on technology from concept3D, Inc., which offers the powerful and easy-to-use CampusBird map management system that displays custom media including 3D models, 2D overlay renderings, street-view imagery, and video for multiple users.
Along with being a resource for prospective students and their families, the map serves a large external community. Scripps College sends links to the CampusBird interactive map to speakers, journalists and others so they can get a more accurate and detailed picture of the campus and the entire Claremont Colleges.
“Having concept3D production and design adopted by Scripps is truly an honor. We are humbled and can only hope that our work represents the true beauty of the Scripps campus,” said Oliver Davis, CEO and co-Founder of concept3D, Inc.
