From CampusBird Blog

Our friends at Texas A&M have upped the CampusBird stakes, rolling out an impressive college move-in day layer.

Here's a rundown and photo slideshow of how Texas A&M is making their interactive campus map a workhorse of useful and accessible information for students, parents and visitors.

Transit

The move-in day shuttle route is highlighted in purple. Super convenient.

Residence Halls

Twenty-five residence halls are highlighted in Aggie Maroon so students can quickly find their new home. Headed to Legett Hall? Pick up your key up at Room 122.

Parking

Polygons are used to indicate parking types (and you can click on every lot for more information). Green indicates free visitor parking; Yellow lots are a 1-hour unloading zone. Parking areas for the disabled are also clearly marked. And, the TAMU team made it super easy - when you click on a specific residence hall, all the parking lots in the immediate area are automatically highlighted.

Information

Six Information and Refreshment Stations are clearly marked with big red "I"s. Because on move-in day everybody needs some information and refreshing.

Cardboard Recycling Stations

Lots of cardboard!  These recycling stations are also mapped out to appear when a specific residence hall is selected.

Have a Look

To really get an idea for how TAMU is putting their interactive campus map to some amazing use, may we suggest you go explore it! Texas A&M Interactive Campus Map - College Station Campus. Be sure to check the Move-In box.
